Questions
Here you’ll find answers to our most common questions so you can feel confident and prepared for your next class.
Your first class
-
No experience is required. Our classes are beginner friendly and designed for all fitness levels. Whether it’s your first class or you’re an experienced athlete, our instructors will guide you through the workout and offer modifications when needed.
-
Expect a supportive instructor, a welcoming community, and a unique full-body workout. If it’s your first visit, please arrive early so we can give you a quick introduction to the reformer and answer any questions before class begins.
-
Bring water and comfortable workout clothing. Grip socks are strongly encouraged for safety and sanitation, but they are not required. If you don’t have a pair, they are available for purchase in the studio.
-
Wear comfortable workout clothing that allows you to move easily. Grip socks or bare feet are recommended. Shoes are not worn on the reformers.
-
Our studio doors open 15 minutes before class.
If it’s your first class, please arrive 10 minutes early so we can introduce you to the reformer and discuss any injuries or modifications you may need.
Studio & parking
-
We have SALT designated parking spots in the underground lot behind the studio, accessible from Strathmore Road. These spaces are clearly marked for SALT clients.
Street parking is also available on Strathmore Road and Goldstream Avenue. Please do not park at City Hall or in neighbouring business parking, as these spaces are reserved.
-
To help maintain a comfortable studio environment, we ask clients to:
Remove large jewelry to protect the reformers
Avoid strong perfumes or scents
Keep phones on silent during class
-
Grip socks are not required but are strongly encouraged for safety and sanitation. They also help improve stability on the reformer. Grip socks are available for purchase in the studio.
-
Classes must be cancelled at least 8 hours before the scheduled start time.
Late cancellations will result in the loss of a class credit or a $25 late cancellation fee for unlimited membership clients. -
If you do not attend your booked class, it will be considered a no-show.
No-shows result in the loss of a class credit or a $30 no-show fee for unlimited membership clients. -
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist through your account or our app. How the waitlist works depends on how far in advance the class is:
More than 8 hours before class: If a spot opens, you will be automatically added to the class and notified via email. It is your responsibility to monitor your status and cancel or remove yourself from the class if you can no longer attend.
Less than 8 hours before class: If a spot opens, everyone on the waitlist will be notified, and the spot becomes available to book on a first-come, first-served basis. You will not be automatically added to the class.
Please note that once you are added to a class, the standard cancellation and no-show policies apply. We recommend keeping an eye on your waitlist position through your account or app.
-
For safety reasons, doors lock at the start of class. Clients who arrive more than 5 minutes late cannot be admitted, as they will have missed the warm-up. If you are new to the studio and the doors have locked, you will not be able to join the class.
-
Occasionally instructors may change due to illness or scheduling conflicts. Instructor changes do not waive the late cancellation policy if you cancel within 8 hours of class.
